FAQ

1.What do I need to begin a course with Legal English Help?
All you need is a computer, a good broadband connection and a webcam. The webcam is not essential, although we do feel that it improves the ‘virtual classroom’ experience.
2. Does Legal English Help offer group training?
Yes. We can offer training for up to 6 trainees in our virtual classroom. Firms or companies who wish Legal English Help to train groups of employees of a similar level will receive a substantial discount on the quoted course prices. Contact Us for more details.
3. What level of English will I need?
We feel that to get the most out of our courses, trainees need to be at least Pre-Intermediate level. Beginner and Elementary students will benefit more from a General English course.
4.What if the web conference connection is poor and I can’t see or hear the tutor properly?
If your computer and broadband meets our technical specifications, this will not be a problem.
5.Is the Legal English Help solution just like learning on the telephone?
Learning Legal English through a WebEx™ web conference is nothing like lessons over a telephone. You will be able to see your tutor and s/he will be able to see you. The technology we use allows a complete ‘virtual classroom’. Student and tutor can communicate in every way as if they were in the same room plus all materials can be viewed/heard and worked on in real time!
6.What time can I have my lessons?
We have clients from many different time zones and we can usually find a time to suit. When you book your lessons, you will be given several different slots for your lessons and we will always try our best to arrange a time which you can manage.
7.How many lessons should I book?
The number of lessons you book is up to you. Usually we suggest you try our service at the 60% reduced rate and then take advantage of one of our special package deals.
8.Which course materials will we use?
We will email all the materials you need before your lesson. All work in our ‘virtual classroom’ will be based on these materials, our conversations and the ‘virtual whiteboard’ facility. All the benefits of one-to-one lessons without the need to travel!
9.How soon can we start?
We like to meet our new clients as soon as we can. We try to arrange the first session within three days of our first contact.
10.Do I need a WebCam?
It is not essential as you will be able to see your tutor throughout the lesson. However, we feel that the experience is much better and more authentic if we can see each other, so we do suggest you use one.
11.What if I’m unable to attend our lesson?
We don’t usually give refunds for not attending lessons. However, if you give us 24 hours notice we will usually be able to reschedule your lesson at a time convenient for you.
12.What if I’m late?
If you are late for your scheduled lesson, then the lesson will finish at the scheduled time. For example, if your 60 minute lesson was scheduled to start at 3pm and you turn up at 3.15, then your lesson will still finish at 4pm.
